For this reason, we have created a special small business division that addresses the specialized needs of small business. FLA Consultants serves as a business partner to small business in the areas of accounting services, business valuation, fraud prevention / deterrence, computer software selection and implementation, and accounting oversight.

Just because a business is starting up, or is small, is no reason to settle for inadequate accounting procedures and controls. In fact, small businesses in many instances need more direction and controls than their larger counterparts to help guide management, grow value for shareholders, and safeguard assets. We believe that when a business is formed, adequate accounting systems and controls should be put in place to help deter possible fraud as the company develops, and to produce accurate, timely, and financial reports to steer the company.

For this reason, FLA Consultants has engaged as part of its team a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor® to help determine what software would be most appropriate for the client, to assist with the implementation of the software, and to set up the software with the proper system and procedural controls. FLA Consultants also provides monthly service to small business to assist with financial reporting, report design, payroll, troubleshooting solutions, and oversight.

FLA Consultant’s Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor® has successfully completed a comprehensive curriculum, developed by Intuit® to teach best practices in QuickBooks setup, payroll, reporting, and other day-to-day QuickBooks functions.

We provide full QuickBooks® software training. We train you and your staff to use this comprehensive set of accounting tools, which in turn will allow you to process accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and financial reporting for your company’s finances and business.

Outsourced Accounting Review Functions

Perhaps your business can afford a bookkeeper, but can not presently afford a Controller or Chief Financial Officer. FLA Consultant’s outsourced accounting oversight and review function service is designed for companies interested in obtaining accounting financial oversight and structure while minimizing costs. FLA Consultants works with the client’s staff to ensure that all required systems and procedures are properly established and implemented, as well as to ensure that financial records are accurately and timely maintained in a reliable manner.

Our Outsourced Accounting Oversight Function service provides our clients with the assurance and comfort of knowing that an outside independent accountant is reviewing their financial records and reporting, all at an affordable, flat monthly fee. This service does not necessarily replace your existing bookkeeping staff. It merely supplements what they do and frees their time to focus more on the day-to-day accounting and administrative processing functions. FLA Consultants works with each client to provide the requisite guidance, teaching, support and expertise unique to each client's needs. In many instances, this service can be performed on a remote basis, that is, this oversight can be performed from our office location so that your staff is not disturbed. Through remote access to your accounting computer server, we are able to gain direct access to your QuickBooks files, but only on a “read only” basis, so as to preserve your data integrity and security.
